The Kolibree Kids Toothbrush connects to your device using your front camera to give you a precise, personalized brushing experience. To download the app:

For iOS devices

1. Open the App Store
2. At the bottom of the screen, tap Search
3. Search for "Kolibree Kids"
4. Tap on "Kolibree Kids", then tap "Get" or "Install"
5. If asked, enter your password or use Touch ID or Face ID

For Android devices

1. Open the Google Play Store
2. Search for "Kolibree Kids" using the search bar
3. Select "Kolibree Kids" in the list, then tap "install"
4. If asked, enter your password or use biometric recognition

On Android, some of these steps may work differently on some devices. Some options may be in different places

The Kolibree Kids app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, as well as most of the Android devices.

It is important to note that for Android devices, Kolibree Kids is only available on the Google Play Store. The Kolibree Kids app won't be compatible with devices that use Android-based operating systems and do not have Google Play Store.

Recommended System Requirements

The Kolibree Kids app combines front camera scene capture, advanced scene processing and display 3D effects on your device to create an augmented reality experience. The fluidity of the game may vary according to the performance of your device and its camera. To get the most of Kolibree Kids we recommend:

• iOS 12 and later, Android 7.0 and later
• 1GB of RAM
• 500 MB of available disk space

Kolibree focuses their efforts on the mobile platforms most people use and may decide to end support on some operating systems to continue creating new features and improving customer experience.

If you're setting up a Kolibree Kids app for the first time

Your Kolibree Kids account allows you to keep track of your progress in the Kolibree Kids app. You will also be able to:

• Set your preferences (such as language)
• Create multiple adventurers (multiple profiles)
• Access your personal information

To create a Kolibree Kids account using the Kolibree Kids app:

1. Start by downloading the Kolibree Kids app.
2. Tap Got It and then Sign up
3. To confirm that you're an adult, you will need to solve a multiplication problem.
4. Enter your child's name and age, and choose their favorite color. Tap Create.
5. Select the type of toothbrush that you are using. Tap Next.
6. Enter your email to be used as your Kolibree Kids account login.
7. Read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then check the boxes.
8. Tap Sign up.
9. A new screen explaining that you have received an email to give your consent will appear. Tap Next.

You just have created your Kolibree Kids account! Don't forget to check your email to provide the consent. As a reminder, you will see a red button with 'Action needed' as long as the consent is not given.

In Kolibree Kids app, children are adventurers who travel in imaginary worlds to defeat the cavity monsters.

Before you begin

Kolibree Kids uses augmented reality to analyze the way your child is brushing, always paying attention to your surroundings while brushing.

For a better experience, make sure your device has the minimal system requirements, and is safely placed.

Starting the game

You can start the Kolibree Kids game by tapping the Play Button, picking a World to play in and selecting your stage.

At start, place your head in the circle, the app should be able to see your face entirely and clearly.

The play screen is divided in two parts: the upper part of the screen displays the image captured by the front camera, the lower part of the screen displays the 3D jaws and the cavity monsters to be brushed away.

Your children will be guided to brush 16 zones. When the game starts, the active zone you have to brush will be highlighted and you will see a cavity monster. The application identifies the Kolibree Kids toothbrush connector and your face to detect whether you properly brush the right zone, and provides suggestions on the brushing technique.

Brush to defeat the monster!

When you brush too fast, a turtle will show up to guide you to brush slower. Alternatively, if you're brushing too slow, a rabbit will appear to direct you to speed up.

There will be continuous toothpaste bubbles generated as you brush to defeat the cavity monster. The better you follow the instructions, the more diamonds you will earn!

Augmented Reality (AR) describes user experiences that add elements to the live view from a device's camera, in a way that makes those elements appear to inhabit the real world.

The App will be helping your child get in the habit of brushing twice a day for two minutes with a lot of fun and interactivity to improve his or her long-term dental health.

Kolibree Kids uses Augmented Reality (or AR) to analyze the way your child is brushing by providing an interactive experience of a real-world environment "augmented" by computer-generated perceptual information.

The Kolibree Kids app uses the front-facing camera of any mobile device to detect which area of the mouth your child is brushing. By brushing in different areas, your child will control the Kolibree Kids brushing game.

Kolibree Kids app is an app that uses Augmented Reality (AR) to improve the brush skills of every child.

In order for the Kolibree Kids app to detect your brushing movements, the base of the Kolibree Kids Connector must be visible.

Hold the brush at the Kolibree logo, as to not block the dots and stars.

From the home page, you can manage your adventurer, start the game, and access the photo booth, gallery and parental dashboard.

Karios and Dr. Molar need your help!

Dr. Molar works in a secret laboratory to stop tooth decay, he created the Kolibree Kids masks to protect Karios but cavity monsters stole all of them… they are now hiding in a set of imaginary worlds.

In Kolibree Kids, children are adventurers who travel to all these imaginary worlds to defeat the cavity monsters, get the masks back and earn diamonds for the shop.

Each of your children can have their own adventurer profile! Select your children's profile, slide to select one and tap plus to add a new member of the family.

See immediately how many diamonds and stars have been earned by each adventurer. You can use diamonds to purchase masks in the photo booth.

When using Kolibree Kids, your child will travel to the wonderful world of Doctor Molar.

Doctor Molar is working hard in his laboratory to find a way to cure tooth decay. His friend Karios has very dirty teeth and stinky breath, and his mouth is full of little cavity monsters. Doctor Molar created Kolibree Kids brushing masks to defeat these cavity monsters.

One day, the cavity monsters found a way to steal all the Kolibree Kids brushing masks, and they are now hiding in a set of imaginary worlds.

In Kolibree Kids, we're asking your child to travel to all these imaginary worlds to defeat the cavity monsters and get the Kolibree Kids brushing masks back.

Each world consists of multiple stages, in which you can earn stars. These are used to unlock the following worlds. An adventurer can replay a stage to do better and reach three stars.

The Kolibree Kids game is full of treasures.

You have to travel through a set of imaginary worlds to collect masks. There are five masks per world.

You will be guided to brush 16 zones of your teeth. If you brush the correct zone and defeat the monster, you will gain diamonds. You can earn up to 15 diamonds per zone. With perfect technique, you can collect up to 240 diamonds in one brushing session - this is almost enough to purchase the unicorn mask!

The diamonds will allow you to buy new masks to try on in the photo booth.

If you like to take photos, you will love to take selfies with Kolibree Kids masks!

Kolibree Kids provides a photo booth feature to take pictures with the masks your child has unlocked or purchased.

To access the photo booth, simply follow these steps:

1. Open Kolibree Kids app
2. Select your profile in the home screen
3. Tap on the camera icon and then you will access the Photo booth.

Kolibree Kids is designed to teach children better brushing habits using augmented reality. By setting up the account with all of the needed information, the data can be stored for a parent or legal guardian to supervise their children, and manage the settings of the Kolibree Kids app.

To access the parental dashboard click on the lock at the bottom right of the home screen. To protect your parental dashboard, the Kolibree Kids app will ask you to solve a math problem.

In the Parental dashboard, there are three sections: My Kids, Tips and Settings.

The ring/silent switch of your device controls which sounds play through your speaker, make sure your device is not in Silent mode if you want the sound to be ON.

Press the Volume+ button of your device or increase volume from the settings of your device.

The Kolibree Kids app is available in English, Spanish, French, Russian and Chinese.

To set the language of your App, follow these steps:

1. Open the Parental Dashboard
2. Tap on the Settings icon
3. Select Preferences
4. Choose your preferred language

Note that the default language is based on the language settings of your device.

The Kolibree Kids app makes it easy for you and your family members to share the experience. You can add as many Adventurers as you want to your Kolibree Kids account.

Create an Adventurer

To assure that you are enjoying a great discovery, always create a profile for each child.

1. Open the Kolibree Kids app
2. From the home screen, tap on "Add a new adventurer". If there are more than 2 adventurers, it may be necessary to slide to the left
3. Enter first name and age
4. Select a favourite colour, this will be the colour of the suit!
5. Press Ready

Airplane or flight mode turns off the wireless features on your device so that you comply with airline regulations.

The Kolibree Kids app and the Kolibree Kids Connector use the front camera of your device to detect the brushing movements.

This means that you can use the Kolibree Kids app in flight mode.

Please note that your brushing history is linked to your Kolibree account and saved remotely. You must be using cellular or Wi-Fi to synchronize your data.

If you already have a Kolibree product, you can reconnect to your existing Kolibree Kids account. You may need to do this if you have changed your phone or tablet, or uninstalled the Kolibree Kids app from your device.

To reconnect to your existing account:

1. Download the Kolibree Kids app
2. Open the Kolibree Kids app, click Log in in the right bottom
3. Enter your email address, then click Next
4. From the device where you're trying to log in the Kolibree Kids app, tap on the link

Having trouble getting the Kolibree Kids app to access your camera? Give these steps a try:

For iOS

1. Open the settings of your iOS device
2. Tap on Privacy
3. Select the Camera section
4. Allow Kolibree Kids to access your camera

For Android

1. Open the settings of your Android device
2. Select the Applications settings
3. Look for the Kolibree Kids App
4. Tap on app settings, then permissions
5. Allow Kolibree Kids to access your camera

On Android, some of these steps may work differently on some devices. Some options may be in different places.

The Kolibree Kids App uses advanced technology to detect your brushing movements. If you are having trouble to make the application detect the Kolibree Kids toothbrush, give these steps a try:

• Make sure you're not too close or too far from the device. The ideal distance between you and the device is between 17 to 24 inches.
• Light conditions may distort the colors captured by the camera. It's recommended to avoid backlights, dark lighting and overly bright lighting.
• You should be able to see yourself and the brush entirely in the mirror while playing.
• Nothing blocking the front camera (i.e. between the smart device and the brush).
• Check that the phone camera lens is clean.
• Brush comfortably and realistically - neither too slow nor too fast.
• Make sure only one face is in the frame

All of the pictures taken with Kolibree Kids are now stored in your device's pictures library. You can access them from the in-app gallery or directly view them in your device pictures library.

However, for some Android devices, the in-app gallery might not open and the error message 'Couldn't find item' may occur. This can happen if you choose an app other than 'Photos' to open the pictures when prompted.

If this happens, please follow these simple steps to change the default setting of your Android device.

1. Open your device Settings and find Apps
2. Search Default apps and choose Gallery
3. Change the default setting from Gallery to Photos
4. Open Kolibree Kids app and tap the Gallery icon on the home page

The latest release of iOS 14 is now allowing you to control whether third-party apps have access to information in Photos.

To take pictures in the Kolibree Kids Photo Booth you'll need to grant this access to save the picture taken with the Kolibree Kids app into your device library.

The first time you will open the Kolibree Kids app wants to use information from another app, you will have choice between three-levels of access:

• "Allow Access to All Photos": allows the Kolibree Kids app to save all the pictures later taken with the app in an Album named "Kolibree Kids".
• "Select Photos": all the pictures later taken with the Kolibree Kids app will be saved in the device and shown in the "Recent" Album and "All Photos".
• "Don't Allow": when using the Photo booth in the Kolibree Kids app to take photos, the pictures will not be saved.

Create a Kolibree Kids account

Start by downloading the Kolibree Kids app.

You'll be invited to onboard, simply follow the instructions given.

Enter your email to be used as your Kolibree Kids account login. Read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, then check the boxes.

Tap "Sign up".

To log out of your account:

1. Go to the Parental Dashboard
2. Click on Settings
3. Select Log out

New phone or tablet? No problem!

If you have a new device, or uninstalled the application, you can reconnect to your account in two different ways. If you use the application on the same device as your mailbox, you can connect by completing the following steps:

1. Download the Kolibree Kids app
2. Open the Kolibree Kids app, click Log in in the right bottom
3. Enter your email address, then click Next
4. From your device, check your email for a message with a link to log back in
5. Click on the link and you will be taken to the application and will find you are now logged in

Be aware! If you delete your Kolibree Kids account, you will lose all your brushing data. Once an account is deleted, it can not be restored and all brushing data will be lost.

To delete your account:

1. Go to Parental Dashboard
2. Click on Settings
3. Select Delete Account

Due to our commitment to transparency and respect for your privacy, we ask parents to provide their consent for the app to collect data and personal information, specifically: children's first name, age, profile photo, IP address and brushing data.

How do I provide consent?

In order to create a Kolibree Kids account, you must provide your email. After the account creation, an email is sent to you requesting parental consent to collect data and personal information. In case you do not act right away, you'll receive emails reminding you of this request 2, 4, 7 and 14 days after. After 30 days without your consent, Kolibree must delete your account.

Your privacy is important to us, that's why we have made it easy for you to download and review the data collected by Kolibree Kids from your device.

The data includes your account and profile information, as well as your mailing preferences.

To get your personal data collected into Kolibree Kids, follow these steps:

1. Open Kolibree Kids app
2. Tap on the Parental Dashboard icon
3. Tap on Get My Personal Data
4. Open your mailbox. Your data is sent to the email used as a Kolibree Kids account.

The download link received by email will expire after 10 minutes.

The same Kolibree Kids account can be logged in on multiple devices. The Kolibree Kids app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, as well as most of the Android devices.

However, we recommend that you use one device to track your game progress and rewards.

With the current version of the Kolibree Kids app, the game progress and rewards do not synchronize in real time. Therefore, if you use the same Kolibree Kids account to log in on different devices, the game progress and rewards may be different.
